<br />
Oh December Daily! I tried you for a very short time last year and I never finished you! Maybe this year will be the year.<br />
<br />
I've been Pinterest-ing lots of stuff to get ideas for the past month or so but even with all that guidence I keep expecting some sort of <i>set</i> directions on what you're <i>supposed </i>to do. I've come to the conclusion it's kind of whatever you want which leads me to feeling like this as I put it together...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy0NYIiuz0aoUq9O3Vms3tVDXGyL2EO5rdpnUIQ-4bvEV5V9EKuN4y-MnEKNuSm7dbvvJKvyaLoNIjdZTdQIHyAiJSUhJwQpu5EyxmaMS95cUSfpBFANlJmXFNQVZsKXr2LlF9qPJ2z1Rg/s1600/b7e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy0NYIiuz0aoUq9O3Vms3tVDXGyL2EO5rdpnUIQ-4bvEV5V9EKuN4y-MnEKNuSm7dbvvJKvyaLoNIjdZTdQIHyAiJSUhJwQpu5EyxmaMS95cUSfpBFANlJmXFNQVZsKXr2LlF9qPJ2z1Rg/s1600/b7e.jpg" height="231" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I see lots of people doing their basic layouts so they just plug in their pictures and whatnot. I wanted to do that. I really did. I just <i>could not</i> figure out how to pick stuff out when I didn't even know what I was supposed to be showcasing for that day. So yes...I'm definitely just making it all up as I go along. I've made my own unofficial rules for myself to keep myself sane:<br />
<ul>
<li> Use your own handwriting dammit! You'll get it done a lot quicker if you're not fiddling with a typewriter.</li>
<li>Things do NOT have to be perfect. Getting it done <i>happily</i> is a lot better than hating the project and everyone around me.</li>
<li>I am not a professional scrapper in any sort of the way. I am not a designer. I am a regular person and it's okay to scrap like one. I do not have time to be all Martha Stewart about it. Lol.</li>
<li>Anything goes. Just get it done. </li>
</ul>
Anyway, on to the pictures....(and in keeping with the <i>keep-myself-sane</i> way of life, they are not ideal pictures but I got them done so that's what counts. Haha!) <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZxMCzMZTW3OL8gYpuwfWMSqKvyrf0ZkRRP_PIN_TEp-yW_HdeETgnBLoz4MRAoBsy9rEEkNDDNQ9wqO1SE70dctUnqNEOnqXH5V5MGNbhfu48FZDBOzyasUOfgUvf2uV8IL2600RCjr0P/s1600/DEC+DAILY+COVER+CLOSE+UP.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZxMCzMZTW3OL8gYpuwfWMSqKvyrf0ZkRRP_PIN_TEp-yW_HdeETgnBLoz4MRAoBsy9rEEkNDDNQ9wqO1SE70dctUnqNEOnqXH5V5MGNbhfu48FZDBOzyasUOfgUvf2uV8IL2600RCjr0P/s1600/DEC+DAILY+COVER+CLOSE+UP.jpg" height="428" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I love love <i>love</i> how the cover turned out. Little button tree! I'm so proud of you! (Also, took a lot longer than I care to admit to get the sizing/layout just right.)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhs-8c0T4e80sdxOJRav0MmaZn3Aif-gqChY8Q_OJPnDdbSKb5eWCg38VtduaVLPtuZjfjmrzzmCLOQGYMZYMNy7IsPC5NdyEkTnYs1j0rjDq-fX2c92Cq0KPEh4YzcWVWWWdW1osq5s7Yj/s1600/DEC+DAILY+TITLE+PAGE.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhs-8c0T4e80sdxOJRav0MmaZn3Aif-gqChY8Q_OJPnDdbSKb5eWCg38VtduaVLPtuZjfjmrzzmCLOQGYMZYMNy7IsPC5NdyEkTnYs1j0rjDq-fX2c92Cq0KPEh4YzcWVWWWdW1osq5s7Yj/s1600/DEC+DAILY+TITLE+PAGE.jpg" height="428" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm also in love with the title page. It's impossible to get a proper picture of because it's set on a clear page so you may have to use your imagination as to how it looks in person and without glare.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigX2Sk72Ubch8HoROWHqoNCyQ-M0zzsMVsQkpJolg1LjJOjYiSmNfUQDQlN5fparmFIGYinXHZzdcrMiobGbh6AkcBu4g7aWCRO6wAn1CiOYaNyekLzexNu9xvPyF-nhoF49FA3jagCWsg/s1600/04+DEC+DAILY.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigX2Sk72Ubch8HoROWHqoNCyQ-M0zzsMVsQkpJolg1LjJOjYiSmNfUQDQlN5fparmFIGYinXHZzdcrMiobGbh6AkcBu4g7aWCRO6wAn1CiOYaNyekLzexNu9xvPyF-nhoF49FA3jagCWsg/s1600/04+DEC+DAILY.jpg" height="422" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Next up: Intro/first page. The calendar is a printable from <a href="http://stitchintime.typepad.com/">Stitch In Time</a>. I'm going to write a little something each day.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
These pages are all actually November because I just simply couldn't wait to decorate.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEOJnIKOLoKZ5g-I27HbiYeqMF4QukMjjozafBY_UjIrSKmF2l9KprwbXD52ey_oGxpH0GSsdMEp4QWnkqJ0vyUOI9L9v1UGC3tJCkAh4RyHE3qL5t6OKNC08AlgRFrvd8k8jcEiUE-y4Z/s1600/IMG_0141.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEOJnIKOLoKZ5g-I27HbiYeqMF4QukMjjozafBY_UjIrSKmF2l9KprwbXD52ey_oGxpH0GSsdMEp4QWnkqJ0vyUOI9L9v1UGC3tJCkAh4RyHE3qL5t6OKNC08AlgRFrvd8k8jcEiUE-y4Z/s1600/IMG_0141.jpg" height="392" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's the other side of the insert along with pictures of us decorating. I'm doing #30lists as well so throughout my album there will be lists!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu75-GCcZcTu8-CRYwgv6a6EV7aktoNJcM9NyMQRleVbdmW7Yh_jcufOIclIDKsJfjic1jH3ux2wj9OIHc6YsIdQT-_r8p8nCD1_Urp0QIPXgePhIR7ke94vIBNeybdTJ_rPhuH_WSKn6Q/s1600/07+DEC+DAILY.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu75-GCcZcTu8-CRYwgv6a6EV7aktoNJcM9NyMQRleVbdmW7Yh_jcufOIclIDKsJfjic1jH3ux2wj9OIHc6YsIdQT-_r8p8nCD1_Urp0QIPXgePhIR7ke94vIBNeybdTJ_rPhuH_WSKn6Q/s1600/07+DEC+DAILY.jpg" height="404" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The page on the left was inspired by Luna and a little story of the "Magic Christmas Star." We finished decorating the tree and she declares that it "needs a star on top!" What the heck? You're two and a half! How do you know it needs a star on top?! Lol. We didn't have a star which prompted a trip to Target. On the way she said we were getting a "Magic Christmas Star!" Hahaha. A day or two later when we were watching a Christmas episode of Paw Patrol I realized that's where she learned it from but it really threw us for a loop. Haha! It was super cute!<br />
<br />
The right page is our Elf On the Shelf's letter from his first day of visiting! He brought breakfast from the North Pole. I'll include pictures of that later when I get prints made again.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMmPrS_Bq5tSgRyx-rBrmiCxcrOnv3NE_gNjirE27LBWdV8FCLQYOU9VaCaq1XbIrZblVNSQCeM1rtSH85jWkUvaka15x-f8qB8sYBc83v3Iy1CGLt_3OIc9LEwdy_MMl8v84E98RE-BjN/s1600/08+DEC+DAILY.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMmPrS_Bq5tSgRyx-rBrmiCxcrOnv3NE_gNjirE27LBWdV8FCLQYOU9VaCaq1XbIrZblVNSQCeM1rtSH85jWkUvaka15x-f8qB8sYBc83v3Iy1CGLt_3OIc9LEwdy_MMl8v84E98RE-BjN/s1600/08+DEC+DAILY.jpg" height="388" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The next page includes my list for Day #2 of listing. On the 4x6 wood insert I'm going to put a picture of some sort when I get it printed.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9Sn16psxXwxeGcexk_l2D6FVYQl_tsZ2IimTFxAn60q3hjY7qwQL_uIRnJK5NQRO6DkbPNFplden8gn8shNkgiIRNZ3NOLBeabZz83HoPxefR0oyxPUOGk2Has7JN7aghvOBWswknQkG_/s1600/09+DEC+DAILY.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9Sn16psxXwxeGcexk_l2D6FVYQl_tsZ2IimTFxAn60q3hjY7qwQL_uIRnJK5NQRO6DkbPNFplden8gn8shNkgiIRNZ3NOLBeabZz83HoPxefR0oyxPUOGk2Has7JN7aghvOBWswknQkG_/s1600/09+DEC+DAILY.jpg" height="470" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The other side of the 4x6 is Day #3's list and a 2x2 shaker page of all our new ornaments that we got for the year. There's one for the Columbus Zoo, the Oakland Zoo, Big Trees State Park, Rudolph (since she watched it for the first time this year), and a polar bear (because that's what Luna picked out.) I'm sure we have some other ornaments somewhere in the house. I try to pick up an ornament anytime we go somewhere neat so then we can remember all those fun times each Christmas.<br />
<br />
<b>SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't looked ahead to tomorrow's (12/4/14) listing prompt for #30lists do not scroll down! </b><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
On the other side of the shaker page I did my list for tomorrow. :)<br />
<br />
If you've really been paying attention you'll realize I have no pictures from December in here yet. Lol. I've got some editing to do tonight and hopefully I'll print them and add them in tomorrow! I want to try to keep us because as soon as we leave for Ohio I probably won't be touching the rest of the month until January. Lol.<br />
<br />
Hope you enjoyed looking! If you're doing December Daily as well leave a link so I can check out your pages!<br />

<br />
Believe it or not I'm actually caught up with Project Life. (Okay, well...I may be lying a tad. I haven't scrapped September yet. I was sick of being behind so I just started back up with October. I was more motivated to do a current month.)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6tx8RdxZGMh6uNpkS7zFHj0lwOs5cUfc_nPZVZu_Mu90Z0lqu2zy4aL5LdXnEq6vp6rBfsef40yPsGeywGazN5miaHCBcpdJhveFx7mX-JbN8LbbS85OMctd65dOJUGYiJ9xNbxwV-Vi-/s1600/OCT+PL+14+(02).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="610" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6tx8RdxZGMh6uNpkS7zFHj0lwOs5cUfc_nPZVZu_Mu90Z0lqu2zy4aL5LdXnEq6vp6rBfsef40yPsGeywGazN5miaHCBcpdJhveFx7mX-JbN8LbbS85OMctd65dOJUGYiJ9xNbxwV-Vi-/s640/OCT+PL+14+(02).jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I tried for a more "put together" look this month. I used my typewriter a lot. (I'm not the best at it and I pretty much left all mistakes "as-is.") <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2X7ohVplpRJAsciCUQNn0boBzyT3olDBSLeIiDJDdymx0DjmdkBFMAs_qHilqSK4rk1qF1E-gT-upcb9PBJPKNZpGTrksRrIKN6ND93d4iKofh_q3HlQ_iDwdOtXyXhgsN9xx_C85Dhrl/s1600/OCT+PL+14+(03).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2X7ohVplpRJAsciCUQNn0boBzyT3olDBSLeIiDJDdymx0DjmdkBFMAs_qHilqSK4rk1qF1E-gT-upcb9PBJPKNZpGTrksRrIKN6ND93d4iKofh_q3HlQ_iDwdOtXyXhgsN9xx_C85Dhrl/s640/OCT+PL+14+(03).jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I also printed all my pictures with a white border. I always think it's
pretty when people do that with their pages and I like the cleaner look
it gives my own. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I did a lot of Halloween colors. Even with non-Halloween related things. It was also Mr. 246's birthday this month so that means...birthday week! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I had a fair amount of pull out things for when I wanted to include just one more thing or a little tid-bit.<br />

I've been debating about what to do with cards. I just can't keep <i>keeping </i>them. They take up a lot of space and I'm still relatively young. I've decided I'm going to keep the super special ones and photograph the rest. That's what these two pages are: pictures of birthday/Halloween cards. Some of them aren't the right orientation and the pictures aren't the best but it's all very readable and takes up considerably less space than the actual cards.<br />
<br />

That's about it...I've been super quiet lately on the blogging front. (It's actually been quite nice! I think it might be too much for working full time and having a life and blogging but I'm going to make it a point to check in every now and then.)<br />
<br />
Hope you're all well! Please feel free to leave a link to any Halloween or October project life pages you've done. I'd love to see them! Thanks for stopping by!<br />

<br />
Someone somewhere may have noticed I didn't do a Weekly Goals post yesterday. I'm planning on going on a blogging hiatus until I completely catch up with Project Life. I don't have nearly as much time as I used to before I started working full time and I reeeeallly want to catch up with PL and my other projects before "Project Season" starts. (I've gotten June done and July printed so I'm making great progress, I just have to work a bit more.)<br />
<br />
I still plan on doing my 30 Days of Lists Posts throughout the rest of September but until I'm all caught up, things will be a bit quiet around here. I just really miss being current with PL. I can put in so much more detail and I'm much more motivated to take pictures.<br />
<br />
Anyways, I'll see you around! And when I'm back I'll be nice and refreshed. :) See you soon!<br />

a "list-a-long" where all month long in September you write your list
for the prompt of the day and share it with others to see! There are <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/amytschubert/30-days-of-lists-project/">a ton of different ways</a> people present their lists and this is mine:<br />
<ul>
<li>If you'd like a tour of this month's list book <a href="http://two-forty-six.blogspot.com/2014/08/30-days-of-lists-my-september-2014.html">check out this post</a>! </li>
<li>Check out days 1-5 of my book <a href="http://two-forty-six.blogspot.com/2014/09/days-1-5-30-days-of-lists-september-2014.html">here</a>. </li>
</ul>
<b>September 6th: </b>This list is more like my/Luna's entire evening routine rather than what I do <i>right</i> before bed.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<b> </b><br />
<b>September 7th:</b> Notice this is a short list. Lol. None of these do I actually enjoy...I just love the end result. Lol. Least favorite "chore": cooking, hands down. Thank goodness for Mr. 246.<br />

<br />
<b>September 8th:</b> I am not a sophisticated person. And that's okay. This is more a list of all-time favorites. Just as I am terrible with remembering movies, I'm terrible at remembering books after I've read them.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU-6_YpmMAyiJK90L6-_fxLFDQ92mj3PWRAZnWnFQrvPc5ld9y2FrBFI4Ih4C68xDHRw5iisGPvgzyokMCfQI6IfSVw5kYEdxAvjxOreROpRqN8CVUHK8IM2F-fRipdI27ppdnvx69X1Y0/s1600/9-8-14.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU-6_YpmMAyiJK90L6-_fxLFDQ92mj3PWRAZnWnFQrvPc5ld9y2FrBFI4Ih4C68xDHRw5iisGPvgzyokMCfQI6IfSVw5kYEdxAvjxOreROpRqN8CVUHK8IM2F-fRipdI27ppdnvx69X1Y0/s1600/9-8-14.jpg" height="332" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<b>September 9th:</b> This was an odd prompt. I didn't quite know what direction to take it. Lol. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<b>September 10th:</b> Picture is actually from today but it showcases my current project which I am in LOVE with. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<b>September 11th:</b> Mostly a craft list but with some random things thrown in. I couldn't think of very many "life" things I've finished with and projects seemed the easiest to list. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<b>September 12th:</b> Oh! A night in! Maybe it's the introvert in me but we pretty much spend <i>all</i> our nights in. I haven't tired of it yet! Haha. Oh, and what's that you spy in my picture...is it a Whirley Pop?! It sure is! (Bass Pro edition! Lol.) It's our newest exciting obsession. Best purchase ever! <br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Another week, another set of goals. I've been in a pretty good place lately and I think that's really helped. I really must credit the impending season of fall. Things are just so much better when your favorite season is right around the corner. Here's how I did:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">GOALS MET IN WEEK 35:</span></b></u><span style="font-size: x-large;"> 10.66/13</span></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>FAMILY/MOTHERHOOD/MARRIAGE:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>1. <i>(Motherhood) </i>Do at least one art project together.</b></strike><i> We colored together a good couple times...does that count? Seeming as Bean has been acting especially two lately, I think yes. </i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>2. <i>(Family) </i>Eat dinner as a family most nights.</b></strike> <i>Check!</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>3. <i>(Marriage)</i> Plan an *actual* date night.</b></strike> <i>Check! September 26th here we come!</i><br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>PERSONAL:</b></span></div>
<strike><b><span style="font-size: small;">4. Go to bed on time on work nights!</span></b></strike><span style="font-size: small;"> <i>Yes! And even a tad early some nights.</i></span><br />
<strike><b><span style="font-size: small;">5. Save all receipts/update budget daily. Stick to my budget!</span></b></strike><span style="font-size: small;"> <i>Half credit. I didn't do it daily but it's now up to date.</i></span><br />
<strike><b><span style="font-size: small;">6. Do less.</span></b></strike><span style="font-size: small;"> <i>Yes. I definitely took some time to relax this week.</i></span><br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></b> <b><span style="font-size: large;">HEALTH:</span></b><b><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>7. Work out x3.</b></strike> <i>2/3rd's credit. I went only twice. Can I make an excuse? I can? Well...I was super tired that day and I started getting sick/allergies. Is that good enough? Probably not, but I'll take it.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-size: small;"><strike>8. 9,500 steps/day goal.</strike> </span></b><span style="font-size: small;"><i>10,993 steps/day average<b>! </b>Killed it! (Calculation is slightly off...I didn't wear it two of the day unfortunately...)</i></span><b><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></b><br />
<b><span style="font-size: small;">9. At least 7 glasses of <i>water </i>a day. </span></b><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Half credit. I did </i>alright<i>. Some days went really well, some days didn't.</i></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><b><strike>10. Cook more at home.</strike> </b><i>After seeing the ungodly amount of money we spent on restaurants and convenience food last month, we've definitely been eating at home more. We just have to get through this withdrawal period, lol.</i> </span><br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></b> <b><span style="font-size: large;">CRAFTING/HOBBY/INTERNET:</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>11. Work on HPC craft swap.</b></strike> <i>Yep! Finished one item!</i><br />
<strike><b>12. Post in HPC at lease once.</b></strike><i>Yep! A couple times actually </i>and <i>I've declared my career path. </i></div>
<strike><b>13. Write 2 blog posts. (This one counts!)</b></strike> <i>Yep!</i><br />

<a href="http://30daysoflists.com/">30 Days of Lists</a> is kind of like a "list-a-long" where all month long in September you write your list for the prompt of the day and share it with others to see! There are <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/amytschubert/30-days-of-lists-project/">a ton of different ways</a> people present their lists and this is mine. If you'd like a tour of this month's list book <a href="http://two-forty-six.blogspot.com/2014/08/30-days-of-lists-my-september-2014.html">check out this post</a>! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I plan on posting my lists on Fridays so you know what that means...I've got my first week of lists done! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>September 1st: </b>The picture is horrible cell phone quality but I still wanted to include it. It's Luna playing her first "board" game, Jumping Jack! A big first if I do say so myself and it was a super special day since Mr. 246 and I both had the day off.</div>

<br />
<b>September 2nd:</b> Picture is of some <i>awesome</i> notebooks I found at TJ Maxx. Every 20 pages or so they have a whole page of quotes/picture. So cute I had to get three. What will I use them for? No clue!<br />
<br />

<br />
<b>September 3rd:</b> Oh gosh. Time is one of those things I ALWAYS wish I had more of.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<b>September 4th:</b> I was about to list my projects I plan on finishing and then when I thought about it, I'm probably not going to be <i>finishing </i>much so I had to tweak the prompt a little. Lol. It's hard to do so many projects with working full time and attempting to have a life. I love the picture...it's little Halloween stuff Bean and I have been working on. We have to get started suuuuper early since it takes 2 year olds a while to do anything. Lol.<br />
<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
Oh September. How I love thee? I am very excited that it's September 1st today. So much awesomeness: it's almost fall, it's almost Christmas time (I start early!), it starts to cool down, you can maybe take walks outside finally, <a href="http://two-forty-six.blogspot.com/2014/08/30-days-of-lists-my-september-2014.html">30 Days of Lists</a>,<a href="http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=435286.0#axzz3C6kwJVPK"> new HPC semester</a>. I broke out the <a href="http://instagram.com/p/sTkChVPBkg/?modal=true">Leaves candles </a>and I am ready to go! I have a reeeeaaallly good feeling about this fall/winter. Let's hope I'm right.</div>

<br />
It's that time again! <a href="http://30daysoflists.com/">30 Days of Lists</a>! I knew I would be super busy to do any sort of high-maintenance #30lists project for this month so I spent an afternoon last week getting my book all ready to just write my lists and be done!<br />
<br />
Let me take you on a tour!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy7v6xSYpOM9CVGdgqydVul9iDHLHb-h35xacSsmgWw23bcXtzAUW59bM2IahGBxm5OCfRirmBnUtLyl8fvccFAqOiyQzcp7PEyzkmpovHduHiZNfgsJIrn9YFT8rAQ1LuwrbazPDHdL4B/s1600/2+30lists.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy7v6xSYpOM9CVGdgqydVul9iDHLHb-h35xacSsmgWw23bcXtzAUW59bM2IahGBxm5OCfRirmBnUtLyl8fvccFAqOiyQzcp7PEyzkmpovHduHiZNfgsJIrn9YFT8rAQ1LuwrbazPDHdL4B/s1600/2+30lists.jpg" height="326" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The front cover is kind of a yellow/gold vellum sheet laid over some yellow cardstock. I love being able to see things peeking through. I did this same sort of cover for my last minibook and loved it so I just had to do it again. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0D-JjtA57hAk_fZ2BOTQdrPQWEI2aIwIGnB9wT-dd2eVAd_jgbt3mmbhSQjIE20I6gJO7NYBSOLs0HiqaYK2O2FUxOLn1TRN3Ec4-hineVurP2eVHxP2qn1fHwitKE6P20qLWGLiw9FjU/s1600/3+30lists.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0D-JjtA57hAk_fZ2BOTQdrPQWEI2aIwIGnB9wT-dd2eVAd_jgbt3mmbhSQjIE20I6gJO7NYBSOLs0HiqaYK2O2FUxOLn1TRN3Ec4-hineVurP2eVHxP2qn1fHwitKE6P20qLWGLiw9FjU/s1600/3+30lists.jpg" height="300" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
After the "Title Page"/Cover I made a little introduction
type page. I thought maybe it would be a bit odd just to jump into lists
without any sort of explanation included. Just picked out a couple Project Life cards to paste in. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGOAb-kxc4rGz0ybs_tYjaH2YBWmbSCxYQZYN_ZHP7RDgS4WXhsp-38EaIqULgBLt8asMTy0BFB87sTHFz-d0Uys1rO59CXz4WapAqF7FEjnSoM5CyBPXt344k_rFEWVjG4VE4tfnBbIzB/s1600/4+30lists.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGOAb-kxc4rGz0ybs_tYjaH2YBWmbSCxYQZYN_ZHP7RDgS4WXhsp-38EaIqULgBLt8asMTy0BFB87sTHFz-d0Uys1rO59CXz4WapAqF7FEjnSoM5CyBPXt344k_rFEWVjG4VE4tfnBbIzB/s1600/4+30lists.jpg" height="320" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Here's my little write up about 30 Days of Lists. I used a sketch pen in my Silhouette to do the writing. You'll see more of that in a bit...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit9_jagkVrqQJU-hy9YjD3J_d7TBQF37egoJGsGNjcv79IBWr9ctn9hVHzyv6FQqoIQ8qe_DMkGoM8kA9vyDO6f9T2X2UclVSKrKz2B3MmmArnsai2qgaNm1DqclBDjosm8yMmgWJ36LKo/s1600/5+30lists.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit9_jagkVrqQJU-hy9YjD3J_d7TBQF37egoJGsGNjcv79IBWr9ctn9hVHzyv6FQqoIQ8qe_DMkGoM8kA9vyDO6f9T2X2UclVSKrKz2B3MmmArnsai2qgaNm1DqclBDjosm8yMmgWJ36LKo/s1600/5+30lists.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And here's my layout plan for each day's list:<br />
<ul>
<li><i>On the left of each page:</i> patterned side of paper with a 4x4 photo and a little strip of washi tape and a stamp of that day's date. <i> </i></li>
<li><i>On the right of each page</i>: Plain white with nothing but the prompt so it's all ready for me to fill out for that day's list.</li>
</ul>
See? Easy-peasy! Ready for me to fill out each day and not too much crafting at all so hopefully I'll be able to keep up with it. <i>(Note: "Today's To-Do List" prompt taken from the 30 Days of Lists, March 2011 list!)</i><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRvc6xRtsgQJllKJr6ICdctuL4Y7IqUeklc_PsacYBZMcWVnKHUnivmFTSWHQ1d3KaJfN91gARGl_JgmD9IX-KfzKky2pbxiR8f50MeTqMT-C7cZ35bil57-A-piMNI-yI3qxiSr7XHhKU/s1600/6+30lists.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRvc6xRtsgQJllKJr6ICdctuL4Y7IqUeklc_PsacYBZMcWVnKHUnivmFTSWHQ1d3KaJfN91gARGl_JgmD9IX-KfzKky2pbxiR8f50MeTqMT-C7cZ35bil57-A-piMNI-yI3qxiSr7XHhKU/s1600/6+30lists.jpg" height="326" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Picture, washi tape, and date on the left.... <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8a_1rcHdCRXVR_qXhMw5BY5a2TVPomhoiyjegz9vGZTtoACuwIhQnYTzQV-6C-SFS0zqEVm-9Uoo2qXo3WAoElWjLu7JZh3WUl9KgJKtMxoT53p-A4mpeYs147ufNH3D8iWAGF_gpdDEF/s1600/7+30lists.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8a_1rcHdCRXVR_qXhMw5BY5a2TVPomhoiyjegz9vGZTtoACuwIhQnYTzQV-6C-SFS0zqEVm-9Uoo2qXo3WAoElWjLu7JZh3WUl9KgJKtMxoT53p-A4mpeYs147ufNH3D8iWAGF_gpdDEF/s1600/7+30lists.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Prompt and space to list on the right...while assembling my book I already included all the prompts and used the
Silhouette sketch function to draw out the prompt header for each page. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7JkmsBH3zntZST_sMW52bQI2VMv7e-NOfszd2vkDSiCp86OGn_H7-n1j5fJvmfJiKBRrYIIODNS9HLuxsf4sJfmyAUvnIZlxkPvCG3N0rEu8bs86k0gw2EayqAGKvPRb48PkkRn_i-BrY/s1600/8+30lists.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7JkmsBH3zntZST_sMW52bQI2VMv7e-NOfszd2vkDSiCp86OGn_H7-n1j5fJvmfJiKBRrYIIODNS9HLuxsf4sJfmyAUvnIZlxkPvCG3N0rEu8bs86k0gw2EayqAGKvPRb48PkkRn_i-BrY/s1600/8+30lists.jpg" height="526" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The book is 6x6 inches because I hit the easy button and used a bunch of paper from two 6x6 paper pads. I decided this was an awesome way to make a mini listing book because:</div>
<ol>
<li>I already had a couple 6x6 pads to choose from. (I love when I can use supplies I already have!) </li>
<li>I didn't have to cut anything -- it was all 6x6 inches to start with.</li>
<li>I was able to have pretty paper on one side so I could pretty things up but I also was able to use the white backs of the scrapbook paper for a clean, easy-to-read list.</li>
<li>It looks so uniform! And put together! (Well, at least in my opinion, hehe.)</li>
</ol>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXo5myiSuMneSEJJ7-U-8x4QWVtW1eauoXhn18psnHFUVV0E_rjgwmtz6shAy-f1iPjf2C0MxrHhK7GkAxaPHkxkB9ou5QOzg-KieFSRnRveEPMItOmznabvIZlkwaspWFFZL11BeMUkzL/s1600/9+30+lists.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXo5myiSuMneSEJJ7-U-8x4QWVtW1eauoXhn18psnHFUVV0E_rjgwmtz6shAy-f1iPjf2C0MxrHhK7GkAxaPHkxkB9ou5QOzg-KieFSRnRveEPMItOmznabvIZlkwaspWFFZL11BeMUkzL/s1600/9+30+lists.jpg" height="486" width="640" /></a><br />
<br />
There you have it! I'm excited to start listing! I'm glad I took the time to put this book together. It just looks so official. I got the binding done at Office Max for around $3. Well worth it, I think. I got the super big coil because once I add the extra photo and matte on each page I expect it to fatten up quite a bit. If not, I can always get a smaller coil. :)<br />
<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
Yep. That's right...I'm channeling the big guns: Oprah Winfrey. It was an <i>alright</i> week. Felt kind of crappy physically and mentally. Called off sick one day for that same combination of crappiness in hopes a day of rest would fix me. It <i>kind of</i> did. I almost skipped this week's post but I'm pushing through in hopes that making goals for next week might at least keep me somewhat on track. Here's how I did:</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<u><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">GOALS MET IN WEEK 34:</span></b></u><span style="font-size: x-large;"> 8.5/13</span><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>FAMILY/MOTHERHOOD/MARRIAGE:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>1. <i>(Motherhood) </i>Have a full Luna/Mommy day on Thursday.</b></strike><i>Yep! We hung out in the morning, went to storytime, had a special McDonald's lunch and played dollhouse before she took a nap.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>2. <i>(Family) </i>Spend more time at home instead of stores.</b></strike><i> Success!</i><strike><b><br /></b></strike></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>3. <i>(Marriage)</i>Annoyance hugs...see last post for full explanation. </b></strike><i>I actually didn't need these, but Mr. 246 has. Haha. </i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i> </i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>PERSONAL:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-size: small;"><strike>4. Go to bed on time on work nights!(Continued from last week!) </strike></span></b><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Success! Doesn't keep me from being tired however. I think work is just too much. Lol.</i></span><b><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-size: small;"><strike>5. Save all receipts/update budget daily. Stick to my budget! (Continued from last week!)</strike></span></b><span style="font-size: small;"> <i>Still tracking! It counts!</i></span><b><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-size: small;">6. Write a "Two Minute Journal" each day. </span></b><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Half credit! I did it a couple times but not every single day.</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-size: small;">7. Keep the end in mind! Make some long-term goal reminders and place them where I will see/remember them.</span></b><span style="font-size: small;"><i> Didn't end up doing this, though I thought several times this past week how useful it would be. Sigh. Maybe next week.</i></span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>8. Work out x3.</b> Half credit. Worked out twice.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-size: small;">9. 9,000 steps/day goal. </span></b><i><span style="font-size: small;">Big fail apparently. Only averaged about 6700/day. However, I didn't wear my FitBit fully each day so not all my steps were counter. I'll be honest though, even with those extra steps I'm pretty sure I didn't reach my goal. I've been lazy lately.</span></i><b><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></b><br />
<b><span style="font-size: small;">10. No fast food or restaurants <i>alllll </i>week. </span></b><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Psssshhh....I don't know why I make this goal anymore. I'm a horrible eater. Lol.</i></span><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>11. Work on OPERATION: PROJECT LIFE CATCH UP! </b><i>I got prepared to work on it, but no -- I didn't work on this yet. Half credit, right? </i><br />
<strike><b>12. Work on #30lists book. (Oh, and sign up for #30lists!)</b></strike> <i>Yes! And got my book all ready for September!</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>13. Write 2 blog posts. (This one counts!)</b></strike> <i>Yep!</i></div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjB5d57ge0o8dGsjaGb4jZ7bxVew6emWx5Nd58H-KPfRxaII0iZebNtzRfLxycJkdAKgou0NVN7iker7VSUrNFDQVcfGwTvzYxj5yD2y89OoOZvbFIgKt6MabblSbI5hH6FBxgn0VgBYkcY/s1600/Luna+Green+Dress.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjB5d57ge0o8dGsjaGb4jZ7bxVew6emWx5Nd58H-KPfRxaII0iZebNtzRfLxycJkdAKgou0NVN7iker7VSUrNFDQVcfGwTvzYxj5yD2y89OoOZvbFIgKt6MabblSbI5hH6FBxgn0VgBYkcY/s1600/Luna+Green+Dress.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
When I saw this pattern at Joann's I immediately fell in love with it. I had visions of Luna prancing about barefoot with flowers in her hair having a fairy tale childhood. Truthfully (and sadly), that's just not the type of life we live but I still made my attempt at the dress. And when it was all done she pranced about the zoo in tennis shoes just fine. Maybe not as magical I had originally planned but good enough!<br />
<br />
I started this dress <i>waaaaaay </i>back in February. I did about 85% of it in a day or two -- the only thing I had left to do were the bottom ruffles. I finished the bottom last week. As you can see, there is only one ruffle. It caused me so much hatred that I refused to do the second ruffle for my own sanity.<br />
<br />
I think I would enjoy sewing more if I had more patience. And skill. I always love having something nicely done in the end but the process, in my opinion, is more work than relaxation. I don't think my skill or experience makes it for a relaxing time.<br />

<li><b>Time:</b> 5 hours total (Estimated.)</li>
<li><b>Size:</b> Supposed to be about 2T but it fit a tad bigger.</li>
<li><b>Fun</b>: 6/10. I honestly think I just don't care for sewing that much. The only reason it's a 6 is because Luna looks so gosh darn cute in it. <i>Buuuut</i>, I did learn alot while making it!</li>
<li><b>Techniques I Learned:</b> I always learn as I go. In this project I learned: how to make ruffles/gathering, how to do a lined yoke, and afterwards I learned I should have used some sort of rolled/folded seam on the bottom ruffle because there is some major fraying after washing. :(</li>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This past week wasn't the awesomely amazing week I wanted it to be. I
was blind-sided by a terrible bout of PMS accompanied by extreme fatigue
and general annoyance for the world. That kind of mind frame isn't the
most conducive to being a happy, productive individual. All issues
aside, I didn't do too bad. Let's check out how I did:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">GOALS MET IN WEEK 33:</span></b></u><span style="font-size: x-large;"> 10.5/14</span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>FAMILY/MOTHERHOOD/MARRIAGE:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>1. <i>(Motherhood) </i>Find and do a book-related craft with Luna.</b></strike> <i>Yes! We had </i>Go Dog Go <i>and</i> If You Give a Mouse a Cookie <i>coloring and we made a hat after reading </i>Hooray for Hat<i> which we picked up from the library this past week.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>2. <i>(Family) </i>Have official family dinners <i>every night</i>.</b></strike> <i>Official enough! We cooked at home every night! :)</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>3. <i>(Marriage)</i>
Mr. 246 is on break between semesters for the next two weeks so my goal
is to spend some quality time in the evenings since he won't be
studying!</b></strike> <i>Okay, so I didn't do the </i>best<i> at this during the week because I was just so </i>drained.<i> We did have a lovely movie night, though, where we made pizza and </i>Noah.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i> </i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>PERSONAL:</b></span></div>
<strike><b><span style="font-size: small;">4. Go to bed on time on work nights!(Continued from last week!)</span></b></strike><span style="font-size: small;"> <i>This. And then some. Gosh, I was just </i>so tired<i> all week.</i></span><br />
<strike><b><span style="font-size: small;">5. Save all receipts/update budget daily. Stick to my budget! (Continued from last week!) </span></b></strike><span style="font-size: small;">Success!</span><br />
<strike><b><span style="font-size: small;">6. Keep utilizing new planner daily! </span></b></strike><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Yep!</i></span><br />
<b><span style="font-size: small;">7. Write a "Two Minute Journal" each day. </span></b><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Eh, I did it about 3 days. Truthfully I forgot on the other days. This week I'm going to add it into my to-do list.</i></span><br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></b> <b><span style="font-size: large;">HEALTH: </span></b><b><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>8. Work out x3.</b><i> I worked out exactly once. Ugh. I was all set to go the second time on Friday night but then my mind wandered and I forgot to go, lol. Sucks because Friday night Zumba is the best!</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b><span style="font-size: small;">9. 9,000 steps/day goal.</span></b></strike><span style="font-size: small;"> <i>9689 steps/day average. Pretty good considering my amount of laziness this week!</i></span><br />
<b><span style="font-size: small;">10. No fast food or restaurants <i>alllll </i>week. </span></b><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Half credit. We really did eat at home all week except for Saturday when we were at the Sacramento Ikea</i>. <i>We were hungry and far from home and I really didn't feel like packing a picnic to go to Ikea. Lol. We ate a Ikea and technically that's not really fast food or a restuarant, right? It's more like a household store food court. The goal didn't mention anything about that. Haha!</i></span><br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></b> <b><span style="font-size: large;">CRAFTING/HOBBY/INTERNET:</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>11. Finish (or at least finish 75%) of Luna's sweater.</b> </strike><i>This was the one thing I was motivated about this past week and let me tell you -- it is awesome! I can't wait to show you guys! It's a tad wonky in some places but I'm pretty proud of it!</i><strike><br /></strike><br />
<strike><b>12. Plan out next month or so of crafts that need attending to. </b></strike><i>Check! Lots of fun stuff coming up!</i><br />
<strike><b>13. Catch up and post on the Harry Potter Craftalong.</b></strike> <i>Done!</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>14. Write 2 blog posts. (This one counts!) </b><i>Fail.</i><b></b><br />
<b><br /></b>

2. <i>(Family) </i>Spend more time at home instead of stores.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. <i>(Marriage)</i> After PMSing last week and being generally annoyed with everyone and everything I found myself being very "snippy" with Mr. 246. Yesterday I started giving Mr. 246 a hug everytime I started to feel annoyed. Lol. It helps the moment "pause" so I can reset and who doesn't love hugs?! 90% of the time I felt annoyed and snippy it was just my general bad mood and really had nothing to do with Mr. 246 or his actions. (He's a saint I tell you, putting up with me! Lol.)</div>

And to help me out with some ideas for next week I pose a question for any readers: <span style="font-size: large;"><b> </b></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Do you have any fun short term marriage goal ideas?</b></span><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Okay, I'm not gonna lie -- I kicked Week 32's butt. I've come the closest I ever have to completing all my goals for this week.</span> You may wonder what changed and brought on this sudden surge of motivation and perserverance and I credit two new changes to my success.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<ol>
<li><i>I got a new planner</i>. I love it. It's nothing particularly fancy but I like the colors and I like the amount of space. I enjoyed using it all week and crossing things off and it just worked lovely. </li>
<li><i>I created a "Goals" table in an Evernote note</i>. I made a table to keep track of my goals and other information for the week and I filled it in every day. (Goals/info tracked: weight, steps, amount of water drank, did I go to the gym, did I blog, did I complete my journal, did I go to bed on time, did I track my expenses). It was kind of fun to fill it in everyday and it was a good visual device to see how I was doing and what else needed to be done.</li>
</ol>
I plan on doing the same thing this week. Slooooowly I am become more organized. It's not necessarily organization that is an issue for me (or anyone really) but finding some sort of organization or system that works for yourself. I'm hoping maybe that I've actually found it.<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>FAMILY/MOTHERHOOD/MARRIAGE:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>1.<i> </i>Do a painting project with Luna at least once.</b></strike> <i>Yes! I had Luna do a little watercoloring and she liked it! Last time we tried painting she wasn't that into it but we'll definitely be doing more soon!</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>2.<i> </i>Family outing next Saturday on my weekend off!</b></strike> <i>Success! We went to the San Francisco Zoo yesterday and had a blast! We even had some time to go walk along the beach as well. :)</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>3. I thought of a fun little goal. I'll keep it a secret til next week in case he decides to read this. Hehe. </b></strike><i>My secret goal was to write little notes to Ryan all week. Truthfully, I had one day with multiple notes but I'm still counting it as a success because I managed to fit in at least </i>something<i> small and sweet to do for Ryan.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>PERSONAL:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b><span style="font-size: small;">4. Go to bed on time on work nights!</span></b></strike><span style="font-size: small;"> I actually did this! My body was very grateful as well.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b><span style="font-size: small;">5. Save all receipts/update budget daily. Stick to my budget! </span></b></strike><span style="font-size: small;">I did this too! We're using "You Need a Budget" and it's actually kind of fun to do. Already managed to save a big chunk of my savings goal for this month.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><strike><b>6. Read and reflect every night before bed. Take much needed mental breaks.</b></strike> <i>Maybe perhaps not the relaxing I imagined but I was successful in crocheting and watching PLL before bed each night. When you're into a show it takes you to a different world that's not your own. To me that's the best kind of mental break.</i> </span></div>

<strike><b>7. Work out x3.</b></strike><i>Success! I know I was making it my goal to go 4x a week before but it was much more manageable for me to go only 3 times. It gives me a cherished afternoon back. And also the opportunity to just not go to the gym after work if I've had a long terrible day.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b><span style="font-size: small;">8. 8,500 steps/day goal.</span></b></strike><span style="font-size: small;"> <i>Killed it! My average was 10464 steps/day!</i></span><br />
<b><span style="font-size: small;">9. No fast food for the rest of the week. (Except for possible Saturday family outing.) </span></b><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Largest fail of the week. I broke this goal earlier in the week and then said "Screw it!" for the rest of it. (Side note: since I'm tracking all my expenses, I can actually see and visualize the ridiculous amount of money we've spent in this first 10 days of August on restaurants/fast food and I am newly motivated to start fresh for this week.)</i></span><br />

<strike><b>11. Three more colors on my granny stripe blanket. (Note to self: I'm on dark purple right now.)</b></strike><i> Check! And now I've started on this amazingly awesome toddler sweater for Luna. </i><strike><b><br /></b></strike></div>

<br />
If you're familiar with the internet world of crochet you probably know of <a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/">Lucy and her blog, Attic 24</a>. She crochets amazing, colorful, awesome things and is one of the organizers for <a href="http://yarndale.co.uk/">Yarndale</a>.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://yarndale.co.uk/">Yarndale </a>appears to be an awesome festival of all things wool and yarn related. I wouldn't actually know since it's all the way in England and I'll probably never get to attend. Last year at Yarndale there was an amazing display when Lucy put out the call to fellow crocheters around the world to send in granny bunting. This was the jaw-dropping result:<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwMFoUkQOaPY8pCfL9nqiUobcjMGtc60hmk68BrUBK01vzIKPykTypuhs_OB2xeSMkQBty2sRYbjdv_jqQ6rz0Lom1ztLDGx6Or19SE0ZLrYtOOyQgChE6BthvgQvM9AO06fhv7WwHU-1v/s1600/6a00e551101c548834019affe11633970c-800wi.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwMFoUkQOaPY8pCfL9nqiUobcjMGtc60hmk68BrUBK01vzIKPykTypuhs_OB2xeSMkQBty2sRYbjdv_jqQ6rz0Lom1ztLDGx6Or19SE0ZLrYtOOyQgChE6BthvgQvM9AO06fhv7WwHU-1v/s1600/6a00e551101c548834019affe11633970c-800wi.jpg" height="428" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Picture courtesy of <a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/">Attic24</a></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
This year she put out a request for just one mandala and since I never actually sent my granny bunting triangle last year I really wanted to participate in making a mandala. So, the above pictures are my mandala. It's a little late so I don't know if it'll actually be included or not but it's possible!<br />

<span style="font-size: small;">I'm going to admit...I haven't been doing so great lately in the goals department. </span>I kind of sucked at Week 30 and then for Week 31 I didn't even <i>make</i> goals. You know what? I could definitely tell the shift in my life from making goals and not. I was much less productive. (I only went to the gym once last week!) </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Honestly, I didn't even feel like making this post today. That's the thing with letting things "slide." When you do it once it makes it easier to let it slide the next time and then the time after that. Then, before you know it, you're off the wagon. I'm not going to let that happen. So, allow me to visit my not-so-great Week 30 and we'll make some new goals for this week!</div>

<br />
I'm not sure if you guys remember <a href="http://two-forty-six.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-big-ta-dah-summer-garden-throw.html">the Summer Garden Throw</a> I made for Luna's first birthday last year, but I had a <i>ton</i> of yarn left over when I was done. I also immediately went into project withdrawal and needed something to work on right away. I got to work right away on making this beauty and a little over a year later, it's done!<br />
<br />
I worked on it off and on (truthfully more "off" than "on") throughout the whole past year. Maybe TV shows were watched while making this blanket. Also, a lot of Harry Potter audio books. Hehe. <br />
<br />
I love the end result though...88 Squares later, here it is in all its glory!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
And for those who are curious...here are the stats:<br />
<u><b><br />
</b></u> <u><b>Patchwork Granny Square Blanket:</b></u><br />
<ul>
<li><b>Yarn</b>: Tons of leftover <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00114RFNY/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00114RFNY&linkCode=as2&tag=twofortsix-20&linkId=6OTVCRU4D66LOF34">Simply Soft Yarns</a><img alt="" border="0" src="http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=twofortsix-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00114RFNY" height="1" style="border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;" width="1" /></li>
<li><b>Hook Size</b>: If you look closely you'll see I didn't use the same size hook for the whole thing. Ugh. I started off with my favorite 4.25mm hook but then around Christmas I got the awesome <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B2CCA6W/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00B2CCA6W&linkCode=as2&tag=twofortsix-20&linkId=2RHC7CXXX47VJHIT">Clover Hook Set</a><img alt="" border="0" src="http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=twofortsix-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00B2CCA6W" height="1" style="border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;" width="1" /> and switched to a 4.00mm hook. I didn't think it would make so much of a difference but you can kinda tell one side is skinnier. </li>
<li><b>Time:</b> One year off and on. If I worked on it consistently then it probably took about 2-3 months.</li>
<li><b>Size:</b> 42in x 58in</li>
<li><b>Fun</b>: 6/10. I tend to think of <i>really</i> large projects like this as not so much fun. It's super fun at first, then it becomes a battle of discipline, perseverance, and dedication.</li>
<li><b>Pattern (ish):</b> I used the <a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/2013/02/granny-patchwork-blanket-ta-dah.html">Granny Patchwork Tutorial</a> Lucy made from <a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/">Attic24</a>.</li>
<li><b>Help: </b>Click on the links above for help!</li>
</ul>
Bonus shot! Lucy is right...this blanket totally is reminiscent of Elmer, the Patchwork elephant:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9Bb5sCV1eQUvFah_qyb5clBrd41HgFNM5Frnh2S9tzuUdo2xNRGaystyXxqnTDMytVThe9IoT0B3C4YnRU4zUSePoLFmxJm5P1Uno8Etni5pbHhVeUciZ60Yx5Xk32jsaohLkUJYDIc7W/s1600/Granny+Square+Blanket+with+Elmer.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9Bb5sCV1eQUvFah_qyb5clBrd41HgFNM5Frnh2S9tzuUdo2xNRGaystyXxqnTDMytVThe9IoT0B3C4YnRU4zUSePoLFmxJm5P1Uno8Etni5pbHhVeUciZ60Yx5Xk32jsaohLkUJYDIc7W/s1600/Granny+Square+Blanket+with+Elmer.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I must have a problem because I just started another project (another copy cat version of <a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/2010/07/the-granny-stripe-tadah.html">Attic24's Granny Stripe Blanket</a>) this past week. A <i>queen sized</i> granny stripe blanket. I may not be done for two years or so at the rate I work on things. Follow me on <a href="http://instagram.com/twofortysix">instagram (twofortysix)</a> to watch the progress on my crochet projects. You can also <a href="http://two-forty-six.blogspot.com/search/label/crochet">click here</a> to see some of the other crochet projects I've done.<br />
<br />
I know the Attic24 designs are pretty darn popular so...how about you? Have you made one? Link to it in the comments, I'd love to see it!<br />

<br />
I have a confession: Months and months and months ago I had <i>such </i>an urge to crochet a baby blanket. I don't like making things without a purpose so I thought about who I could make one for? Random coworker I don't really know too well? "Friend" from high school who just announced on Facebook that she was pregnant? No, no...that's just too weird ...<br />
<br />
"<i>Hey, I don't know you too well but here's this thing I spent hours and hours on for your baby I will probably never meet.</i>"<br />
<br />
A crochet blanket is a lot of work and anytime I set out to crochet something for someone I like to make sure it's for someone who will appreciate it. That being said, it was perfect timing for <a href="http://krugthethinker.com/about/">Cameron</a> at <a href="http://krugthethinker.com/">Krug the Thinker</a> to announce her pregnancy. Still a bit <i>weird</i> since I don't actually <i>know</i> her personally but I adore her blog and I knew she would totally appreciate it. And it was just <i>so neat</i> to read all her pregnancy updates. It was like I was along for the ride...definitely kept up my motivation to finish the blanket in time.<br />
<br />
I've been meaning to post pictures of this blanket for a while but I'm just now getting around to it. Truthfully, it's perfect timing since the baby was born this past week! So, without further ado...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlz8BQ7NBOM0019JnzrhgxKsAqqfHXE3zyCaD_hfGr4unM8m8xfzjjBHBsAssd2eqK298gHz-COvG_TbHzhl6QFUVPHg-iZ_bnJzIZ8FlalrU5eyizIiCuAmim3rasWNqpXecMA8L1j9_c/s1600/Baby+Blanket+Collage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlz8BQ7NBOM0019JnzrhgxKsAqqfHXE3zyCaD_hfGr4unM8m8xfzjjBHBsAssd2eqK298gHz-COvG_TbHzhl6QFUVPHg-iZ_bnJzIZ8FlalrU5eyizIiCuAmim3rasWNqpXecMA8L1j9_c/s1600/Baby+Blanket+Collage.jpg" height="392" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Apparently I lost all the photos I took and these are all I have left so these will have to do. I <i>loved</i> making this blanket. It was easy, it was gorgeous, I love how the yarn looks! (It was quite the yarn eater though since I used two strands to make it go quicker.)<br />
<br />
Here's the stats:<br />
<br />
<u><b>Quick(ish) Shell Stitch Baby Blanket</b></u><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Yarn</b>: Tons of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E01S8I/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001E01S8I&linkCode=as2&tag=twofortsix-20&linkId=66MV47HPLRI6UWHV">Simply Soft Paints in Spring Brook</a><img alt="" border="0" src="http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=twofortsix-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B001E01S8I" height="1" style="border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;" width="1" /> and a little bit of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007KTF63A/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B007KTF63A&linkCode=as2&tag=twofortsix-20&linkId=V2BPGBRWNJXM5PPK">Simply Soft Medium Country Blue</a><img alt="" border="0" src="http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=twofortsix-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B007KTF63A" height="1" style="border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;" width="1" /> for the border. (I lost count on the # of skeins but it was seriously like 8-10 skeins.)</li>
<li><b>Hook Size</b>: Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure it was a <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001BF3FGE/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001BF3FGE&linkCode=as2&tag=twofortsix-20&linkId=E5Z55QFXI2HPYIKE">Boye Crochet Hook, Size K </a><img alt="" border="0" src="http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=twofortsix-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B001BF3FGE" height="1" style="border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;" width="1" /><br />
</li>
<li><b>Time:</b> 2-3 months. But honestly it was probably only about 1-2 weeks of <i>daily</i> crocheting. I would work on it in spurts.</li>
<li><b>Size:</b> 36in x 34in (ish.) I think that's about right. I don't remember exact measurements. I actually think it was a bit larger than that. I just know that it wasn't as long as anticipated but I had given up buying more yarn. Lol.</li>
<li><b>Fun</b>: 8/10. Would have been more fun had it hooked up a tad quicker but it went pretty quick for two strands. I think was really made it awesome was the yarn. If you see the blanket in real life it looks like your staring into an ocean of crochet. I think it's a very relaxing color palette and pattern to look at.<b></b></li>
<li><b>Pattern (ish):</b> I didn't really use a pattern. It's just a simple shell stitch with a couple rows of HDC border except I used two strands to make it thicker and quicker to work up.</li>
<li><b>Help: </b><a href="http://thestitchinmommy.com/2013/12/shell-stitch-baby-blanket-free-pattern.html">Stitchin' Mommy</a> has a similar blanket with tutorial. Also, here's a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20727GoE3R0">video </a>if you like that sort of thing better. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
</ul>
Happy I could share with you! And super happy for <a href="http://krugthethinker.com/">Krug the Thinker</a>'s new bundle of joy. If you'd like to see more of my crochet projects <a href="http://two-forty-six.blogspot.com/search/label/crochet">click here</a>.<br />

<br />
<span style="font-size: small;">This past week was simply terrible. First full week after vacation and work was terrible and chaotic every. single. day. I enjoy the particular job I have now based on previous nursing jobs where I would have a sense of impending doom/dread before each shift. It was like that every day. I like this job because I don't get that feeling. But if I have another week like last week...it may turn into that. It was that bad. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;">I did pretty darn good considering! The only thing I was lacking in were my </span>health goals. That was mostly due to being so physically and mentally drained after work. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Here's how I did last week:</div>
<br />
<u><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">GOALS MET FROM LAST WEEK:</span></b></u><span style="font-size: x-large;"> 10/13</span><u><b><span style="font-size: x-large;"><br />

<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>FAMILY/MOTHERHOOD/MARRIAGE:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>1. <i>(Motherhood) </i>Take Luna on at least one official playdate. </b></strike> <i>Playdate with mommy and daddy's friends? It counts.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>2. <i>(Family) </i>Get out of town - get some quality family time in on my weekend off!</b></strike> <i>Check! Drove up to the Sierras with some family friends to take their engagement photos. Went hiking, found new, amazing beautiful areas that we're definitely going back to.</i><br />
<strike><b>3. <i>(Family) </i>Take more pictures!! At this rate I'll have nothing past the first week of July.</b></strike><i> I didn't turn into a shutterbug again but there were a couple times this week where I actively thought, "You should take a picture of this," then I did.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strike><b>4. <i>(Marriage) </i>Leave Ryan little surprises all week. :)</b></strike>Nothing as grand as I would have liked but I fit in a couple surprises. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i> </i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>PERSONAL:</b></span></div>
<strike><b><span style="font-size: small;">5. Scented candle time every night! <br />
I'm feeling it:<br />
<ul>
<li>the lack of a good "break"</li>
<li>the stress of keeping up with the household </li>
<li>not having enough time to do the things I love</li>
<li>the stress and sadness and guilt of not spending enough time with Luna</li>
<li>attempting to keep things together so Mr. 246 won't be stressed working and going to school.</li>
</ul>
I realize it's only been a short time and it'll be an adjustment but gosh...it really sucks. It's like everything takes just a bit more effort. The worst is the lack of quality family time. Maybe once we figure this new schedule thing out it'll be fine. Maybe I'll just work full time long enough to cover the cost of moving back to Ohio and forget about working toward a house.<br />
<br />
Can I just win the lottery? Lol. I hope I don't sound whiny or ungrateful. Sometimes I just like to put thoughts out there to see if anyone else is going through the same thing. So, <i><b>anyone else working full time? How do you fit everything in? Tell me your secrets please. </b></i><br />
<br />
Maybe I'll feel better after this upcoming weekend off. I wish a good weekend to all of you!<br />

<br />
<br />
We actually left the night of June 30 to take an overnight. I was weary about how taking a <i>almost</i> two-year-old on an overnight would be but it turned out okay. She only slept a little over two hours but was such a little trooper and very much well behaved. She was just excited about all of it. The pictures above are from the drive to SFO and the really neat hands on science playgroup thing that was right near our gate at SFO. (A <i>genius</i> came up with putting playgrounds in the airport!)<br />
<br />
Hours and hours, and one layover later we landed in what we determined was the world's friendliest airport - Dayton, OH. A McDonald's breakfast and a quick drive lead us to Mr. 246's hometown and childhood home where <i>this</i> was waiting for Luna:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
LUNALAND! My mother-in-law is the queen of details and niceties. They had so much stuff set up for Luna! And enough birthday presents for five children. Not pictured: the full size Christmas tree covered in pictures of Luna and origami ornaments made out of dollar bills (for Luna of course!).<br />
<br />
Luna could barely walk right when we got there since she was so sleep deprived. (On her birthday no less!) We laid her down for a nap pronto because had to get rested up - it was the beginning of her unofficial birthday week! Presents were opened wherever she went and there were so many that she ended up opening presents on a daily basis. I joked that she probably thought that's just what strangers did now - meet a "stranger" and they give you a high five and a present to open. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The first night we went to Mr. 246's paternal grandparents. (Luna's GREAT grandparents! I wasn't around my grandparents growing up and I don't recall any great grandparents but now Luna has two sets of grandparents and two sets of great grandparents to spoil her. Hehe. How awesome is it to have that much family?)<br />
<br />
An amazing dinner was made with no less than four casseroles....I was in midwest cooking heaven. I had seconds, then I had thirds. (I may or may not have gained five pounds in one week while I was there...)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio5v6OSQtgdTzSnqAdyXxr85ihp4GKYgPmWtBtQU7Ex7t2SLaji6FaZz-3muEuNSrWiyFUYmhT_lnpxfKSaeWh-ErVda1L1utd3i_Ke0mJ9NsuqaOQrcC0gN1JbvK5uWE3E5e2KBFktENz/s1600/Loves+Her+New+Car.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio5v6OSQtgdTzSnqAdyXxr85ihp4GKYgPmWtBtQU7Ex7t2SLaji6FaZz-3muEuNSrWiyFUYmhT_lnpxfKSaeWh-ErVda1L1utd3i_Ke0mJ9NsuqaOQrcC0gN1JbvK5uWE3E5e2KBFktENz/s1600/Loves+Her+New+Car.jpg" height="406" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
We had a nice evening walk after dinner. Luna fell in love with this little car my MIL borrowed for her. Check that birthday girl out! Well, maybe not the second picture...<br />
<br />
Then there was the house in the country:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6uV3htO3KyoWCguZX7Dbszw3A03PYo3e4Wx5_5uGr5wR3mUDo7SbI0LHyE3yusm-hg0UvXYX-7COQ0qjIklDkOVqkmOMf0DqpoqQRLEqyWHOdteaRA6kgUNiHf_2gUfCxhS-wRvoh9lTj/s1600/Running+in+the+Fields.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6uV3htO3KyoWCguZX7Dbszw3A03PYo3e4Wx5_5uGr5wR3mUDo7SbI0LHyE3yusm-hg0UvXYX-7COQ0qjIklDkOVqkmOMf0DqpoqQRLEqyWHOdteaRA6kgUNiHf_2gUfCxhS-wRvoh9lTj/s1600/Running+in+the+Fields.jpg" height="406" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Another afternoon we visited Mr. 246's maternal grandparents. Delicious cooking again but my favorite part was the perfect weather in the country and a HUGE yard for Luna to run in.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig9mxjzoBJs9ETKKpEKpUWMKZwe0FQ4pKqqZE-J4gL-pl9p0UdItHKqJ1F66rqewm0qaYkWZleN-u0cFDv8E7LCKjs2RaqzutdjTDIutjoRXxgYhtoF_MA0N8RAFviL82kXEjt_18tYEZR/s1600/Luna+Funny+Fields.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig9mxjzoBJs9ETKKpEKpUWMKZwe0FQ4pKqqZE-J4gL-pl9p0UdItHKqJ1F66rqewm0qaYkWZleN-u0cFDv8E7LCKjs2RaqzutdjTDIutjoRXxgYhtoF_MA0N8RAFviL82kXEjt_18tYEZR/s1600/Luna+Funny+Fields.jpg" height="406" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
She loved every second of it and my heart tugged a bit and began yearning for a house of my own instead of the apartment life. All she wanted to do was play with stone birds, collect rocks, run in the grass and frolic about.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ-KKgAmGJkWeU2PAgsla5JWvyqgrQiWRLjHzRRnkZYb4hq4h9KDc0CHGyEqEIBv6WgWDntz2zWEUJxvI1EzDlJRXvncGZ_UlGY5qc-WJrhDdBT_vCas2SwfulzezHrRmf1ojs_5pAi12m/s1600/Collecting+Rocks.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ-KKgAmGJkWeU2PAgsla5JWvyqgrQiWRLjHzRRnkZYb4hq4h9KDc0CHGyEqEIBv6WgWDntz2zWEUJxvI1EzDlJRXvncGZ_UlGY5qc-WJrhDdBT_vCas2SwfulzezHrRmf1ojs_5pAi12m/s1600/Collecting+Rocks.jpg" height="402" width="640" /></a></div>
The next day, for a change of scenery, we went to Columbus area. We ate at one of our favorite restaurants, The Claddagh, which isn't on the west coast. It was just as delicious as I remembered it. Then, thanks to my <i>almost</i> brother-in-law, we were able to have prime rooftop seats to watch the fireworks over Columbus for the 4th of July. Totally felt VIP to me to be able to go up on the roof of one of the big buildings. It was one of those perfect nights where everything fell in to place. We couldn't have planned a better night.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqnphw0lrmCodW1HwUatBmYBr5OAfvQMX-0RBp65nKMHVtXt2UlUj0r77MFXQ0zy6si0GpkyHX_ZhYi8gTs1UMdJSV2VJSMwJXZBEctuI5IxjOlYcU-W0fBF5R1Pz8KktdRytX2tAUpvhq/s1600/Columbus+Fourth.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqnphw0lrmCodW1HwUatBmYBr5OAfvQMX-0RBp65nKMHVtXt2UlUj0r77MFXQ0zy6si0GpkyHX_ZhYi8gTs1UMdJSV2VJSMwJXZBEctuI5IxjOlYcU-W0fBF5R1Pz8KktdRytX2tAUpvhq/s1600/Columbus+Fourth.jpg" height="402" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
We stayed at my sister-in-law's apartment, stayed up late, played board games, enjoyed each other's company. So much fun. Then the next day was the best part....the zoo!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3bnQ2_tprPPCZUu9dEFgkKDpGBDzwSmL2EJGWBNZ_ZyFZP3LZmGD6f7fd8NYT14l5VAAgyLWhAkUF13Z4URp74F7Nx8ix9OrNL77IKnawlX205eX_TgHyKegijGerqAeBgE1C3DVF3a0Q/s1600/Columbus+Zoo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3bnQ2_tprPPCZUu9dEFgkKDpGBDzwSmL2EJGWBNZ_ZyFZP3LZmGD6f7fd8NYT14l5VAAgyLWhAkUF13Z4URp74F7Nx8ix9OrNL77IKnawlX205eX_TgHyKegijGerqAeBgE1C3DVF3a0Q/s1600/Columbus+Zoo.jpg" height="640" width="508" /></a></div>
<br />
The weather was perfect for the zoo and Luna had a <i>blast</i>! She quickly became obsessed with the kangaroos and we got the VIP treatment again from an old high school friend of Mr. 246 and his sister. She works at the zoo and got us into a special area to see the giraffes and African savannah area.<br />
<br />
Another awesome night of hanging out together at my sister-in-law's apartment and sadly we were onto our last full day. We ordered some pizza and had some campfires and it was the perfect ending to our trip.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgJ7seqO4KVnuJRTv8TqT8t1d2iB6Q6wheLfq5xydhnyv3DFBBkUgAi3nGypq4l0mUWwPc4Q3ko4C-qnVI7K6QxDXZiL3C3wKE3vCH8Jwyq60XUyLU6V_ByEOEV_c8MhR6dStRGTyFIhG7/s1600/Last+Night+In+Ohio.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgJ7seqO4KVnuJRTv8TqT8t1d2iB6Q6wheLfq5xydhnyv3DFBBkUgAi3nGypq4l0mUWwPc4Q3ko4C-qnVI7K6QxDXZiL3C3wKE3vCH8Jwyq60XUyLU6V_ByEOEV_c8MhR6dStRGTyFIhG7/s1600/Last+Night+In+Ohio.jpg" height="432" width="640" /></a></div>
<i><br /></i>
<i>Conclusion:</i> This post is greatly lacking in detail and emotions....if I were to include and describe the awesomeness of our trip and my in-laws it would be about five pages long. They are all such wonderful people and I am so blessed to have married into such a loving, fun, and supportive family. I don't know how I got so lucky. So, speaking of which...<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b>
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Here's my somewhat big (not-so-new news):</span></b> We're aiming to move back to Ohio toward the end of next year!<br />
<br />
Mr. 246 will be finishing up with his masters and I'll have enough money saved up by then. Ever since I had Luna I knew I wanted to move back to the midwest. The west coast has a different vibe and somewhat different values. I want my child(ren) to have a somewhat similar environment to what I had growing up and you can't get that here in California. Plus we have a <i>ton</i> of family and lots of support in Ohio, it'll be fun for Luna to grow up around grandparents and cousins and friends. It's also cheaper to live there - maybe I'll be lucky and we'll be able to afford to homeschool. Hmmm...<br />
<br />
Yes, anyway. So I'm super excited. And super motivated to save up my money. I even found my <a href="http://www.homes.com/property/5363-victoria-st-groveport-oh-43125/id-213729846/">dream home</a> already! Chances are it'll be gone by next year but I can dream. Haha. This seems a bit different then when we moved across country the first time. Anyone ever made a big move with children? How did that go?<br />
<br />
Thanks for letting me share!<br />
<br />
-Mrs. 246<br />

I'm not feeling as "gung ho" about this week. Don't know why. Maybe it's because I'm writing this post at 2:00 am Sunday night, but I'm just not feeling quite so kick ass. I <i>am</i> feeling enthusiastic about my crafting however. I've got a renewed enthusiasm to finish my granny square blanket and move on to the next project. And I've got to have my "secret project" finished by next weekend and it's already looking amazing. Maybe crafts will get me through this week. Haha. <br />
<br />
Anyway, go forth and kick butt this week. Hope everyone accomplishes what they set out to do!<br />

Hello again dear friends! Sorry about the lack of posts last week. We went to visit family for vacation and I had meant to write a "Hey, I'm gonna be gone for a bit" post but time got away from me.</div>

I'm off work for the next two days and I'm feeling motivated. My mini-vacation to Ohio last week left me feeling very motivated and goal-oriented. We're pretty sure we want to move back to Ohio toward the end of next year and there are lots of things I'd like to get in order before that happens. I've got some goals related to that that I'd like to keep to myself for now but I'm very, very excited!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Hope you guys have a great week. It feels great to be back! Happy Tuesday!</div>

<i>*EDIT on 7/10/14: I'm feeling quite crafty at the moment and the things I feel like working on aren't the things I was planning on working on so some craft goals have been updated. You gotta do what makes you happy, right? ;) </i></div>

<br />
I made this a couple days before Father's Day on a whim. Strapped for time I just bought Mr. 246 some things I knew he wanted. (Erm....more Skylanders) I had to work Father's Day Weekend and the couple days before it so I knew I wouldn't quite have time to do anything super nice for him. On my last day off, however, I got struck by the intense urge to make him a mini book. Nothing super fancy, just a cute little keepsake.<br />
<br />
The super quick mish-mash throw-it-together process:<br />
<ul>
<li>While Luna was still up I super quickly cut up some 4x4 scraps of card stock and had Luna decorate one side with stickers.</li>
<li>I quickly looked through pictures and printed them out. On regular paper. Didn't feel like fiddling with photo paper and I was out of white cardstock. (Plus I had to get them printed before naptime - the printer is in Luna's room.)</li>
<li>Added pictures to each of the pages and the front.</li>
<li>Looked through random scrapbooking scraps and added embellishments. I wasn't taking much time on this so I'll admit - I didn't use any of the "good stuff." The goal was to get it done in a little under an hour not make some fancy, elaborate professional looking scrapbook. Used: Random 3x4 PL cards/frames, washi tape, fine tip Sharpies. </li>
<li>Punched holes in the pages, hooked them together...</li>
<li>BOOM! Done! No fuss, no muss.</li>
</ul>
<br />
Here's a look at all the pages/what's inside:<br />
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><i>(P.S. Sorry for the random picture sizing....I wanted them big enough to see then I started having sizing issues then I gave up. It happens.) </i></span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I did manage a couple spare moments with Luna in the days leading up to Father's Day so there are a couple random pages thrown in. Yes, even the embarrsingly quick and not very good pictures of cats and "dog" Luna wanted me to draw when we were coloring with markers. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The main purpose of this book wasn't perfection. It was making something with Luna that she could give to her Daddy. And I'll have you know....she is obsessed with her "Daddy Book!" It was the first thing she asked for yesterday morning. "Daddy book! Daddy book!" She loves looking through it and picking out all the pictures of her and daddy. Mr. 246 likes it pretty well too. ;)</div>

Whenever I see mini books online I think they are just fabulous but I always get such an urge to <i>touch </i>them, to <i>hold</i> them. They're an awesome size and there's all sorts of bits of paper and decoration peeking out and I was pretty pleased just holding this little one.</div>
